Looking for professional dog training in OKC?

Full Circle Obedience School opened April 3, 1990 with the mission of helping dog owners build good relationships with their companions through correct structure and communication.

Our philosophy is that if the Director of an obedience school has no titles on their personal dogs, or hasn't helped at least a few students become nationally ranked, then there is no proof that the instructor' training methods truly work. Many certifications and competitive events for dogs are referred to as "tests" for good reason.

The majority of dogs who attend Full Circle Obedience School will not earn titles. They will become well-mannered, and trustworthy companions because they have been trained by instructors who strongly believe in lifelong learning and constantly look for ways to improve their dog training skills.

Full Circle Obedience School Instructors go to school too!

Instructors at Full Circle Obedience School belileve in the importance of staying up to date on the latest dog training methods. They recently began teaching the Get Connected To Your Dog protocol by Brenda Aloff.  This amazing way of calming and teaching through desensitization and touch is new and very exciting.

Brenda Aloff - Tawzer Dog Videos

Brenda is a frequent guest on Kaylan and Pat Becker's radio show SPEAK!, Oklahoma's Only Talk Radio Program for Dog Lovers, KTOK 1000 AM, Sunday's at 1:00pm.

Kaylan, Shelley, Sydney recently attended a Constructional Aggression Treatment seminar (C.A.T.) Research done by University of North Texas associate professor Jesús Rosales-Ruiz, Ph.D. with researcher Kellie Snider, M.S. demonstrates that classical treatments for aggression have us barking up the wrong tree. C.A.T. is a humane improvement over desensitization, counter conditioning and distraction procedures. C.A.T. is an operant approach to treating aggression, not in a laboratory, but in the real world where aggression occurs. C.A.T. typically produces long-lasting results in far less time than any positive treatment available until now, and without the undesirable side-effects that are common with punishment procedures.

Our professional, and positive based dog training classes are the key to happy dogs and happy owners. Full Circle Obedience School emphasizes that the proper relationship is the most important part of dog training; first being a leader in whom your dog can trust, then building cooperation through useful and easy to comprehend obedience exercises. We don’t just teach dog training mechanics, but instead help owners better understand dog behavior. We teach you how to train your dog to be the companion that will meet your expectations.

Full Circle Obedience instructors have never favored the “jerk and yank” method of dog training. One of their training techniques is the Emma Parson's Click to Calm training for dogs who have fear and aggression issues with other dogs and people.

Full Circle Obedience School classes cover basic obedience exercises, plus many solutions for home behavior problems. We teach you how to train your dog to respond to the first command even when distracted! We use motivational techniques balanced with fair corrections that encourage the utmost in willingness from your dog.

Full Circle Obedience School classes are one hour in length and run for six weeks. The class fee is $110.00

The $110.00 class fee includes approximately thirty dollars worth of training materials including:

An excellent quality leash that will not burn your hands
     Complete instruction manual

In obedience training, as with all things, you get what you pay for. You could waste your time with inferior training, but why not get it done right the first time?

Full Circle Obedience School employs instructors who are tested and endorsed by the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors (NADOI), and are active participants in obedience competition, seminars/workshops, and teach other educational programs to children and adults.

Kaylan Head is one of the best obedience trainers in Oklahoma City.  She is very knowledgeable about dogs and their habits.  She is very kind to help me with problems or issues that I may be having with my dogs.   She loves what she does and it shows.  I highly recommend Kaylan Head and Full Circle Obedience School.
